Trip on Lady Emma starting 2007-09-20
3.3Becky Goddard reported on a trip on Lady Emma with 3 BSA members. Before setting sail the crew met at the Southampton Boat Show and drooled over the yachts on show there. Becky, Claire Turner and Bob Buchanan then went with Becca Hayward on board the Haywards’ Barbaris Cantieri 42 Lady Emma for dinner. They sailed to Yarmouth but found it full, so continued on to Lymington and a trot mooring. The dinghy was used to get ashore for an Indian meal. Next port of call was Cowes. The crew spent some time at the Island Sailing Club, where the Haywards are members, before returning to Southampton. The Haywards will be pleased to welcome any BSA members who would like to join them on future trips. (Coincidentally, Jock sailed on Lady Emma in June 1994, on a charter from Plymouth to Camaret and Morgat.)
