Day Skipper course – report by Ewart Hutton
Ewart said that he decided to go back to his homeland to do this and arrived on board on Sunday July 11th for a five-day course with Scotsail, based at Largs. As well as the instructor there were five on board, two taking Day Skipper and three Competent Crew.
From Largs 
they sailed over the five days to Bute
, Arran
, Tarbert
, Loch Fyne
and round the Kyles of Bute
, berthing at Port Bannatyne 
on the Isle of Bute before returning to Largs
.
Ewart’s certificate has gained him the position of Mate on Phil Steele’s charter from Plymouth Yacht Charter on November 5th.
