Future Trips
1.1Alan Howells will skipper a weekend trip from Hamble Point on June 21 – 23. This is fully booked at a cost of £165.40 per person. Final payments of £115.40 will be due by June 6.
1.2Jeff Birkin will skipper a weekend trip from Plymouth on July 5 – 7. This is now fully booked and paid.
1.3Jeff will also skipper a cruise from Milford Haven, hopefully to southern Ireland, for a week Sunday July 14 – 21. This is fully booked and will cost £203.50 per person for the 7-day charter. Final payments of £153.50 will be due by Wednesday June 12th.
1.4Alan Howells will skipper a week’s charter to NW France (including the islands of Sein and Molene) on Friday August 23 – 30. We hope to start this from Falmouth rather than Plymouth. At present there are four definite and one possible crew, so one or two places are available. Will anyone interested please reply to Alan (0117 944 2618) as Jock will be away for two weeks soon.
1.5Peter Wakeling is offering a berth on a leg of the CSSA Najad 380’s summer cruise. This would be from Delfzil in Holland to Kiel, for 9 days from June 13 – 21 at a cost of £310. There will be a Yachtmaster instructor on board. Will anyone interested please contact Peter, tel. 01761 221540.
2.News and notices
2.1Colregs discussion. At the meeting on May 13 Alan Howells led a talk/discussion on the ColRegs, for which he provided some notes with explanations. Alan says that he will email a copy of these to anyone who wants one on request. (Tel. 0117 944 2618)
2.2First Aid
14 members attended the RYA First Aid course on board Sabrina on Sunday May 26th and obtained certificates valid for 3 years. Brian Howell, who took the course, was pleased with the response and welcomed the occasionally animated discussions which took place.

3.Recent Trips
At the May meeting Bill Barnes reported on the long weekend cross-Channel trip from Hamble skippered by Alan Howells on May 2 – 7. Sue Fowle has sent a report of a sail handling trip on the CSSA yacht ‘Sea Essay’ in the Solent. Here are these reports:
