1. Future Trips
1.1 Phil Steele will skipper the GSA Southampton boat on the weekend of June 29 - July 2. There are now three places still available. This has been arranged for Geoff Norwood to practise for his GSA skipper assessment on this boat at the end of the month. These places will be advertised to GSA, so any BSA member who wants a place should contact Phil now, tel. 01278 683192, email phillipalan.steele@gmail.com
1.2Ian Collins will skipper the GSA Jeanneau SO37 from Largs on the Firth of Clyde for a week on the west coast of Scotland on Thursday August 24th - 31st. There are two places still available.
1.3Ian will also skipper a ten-day cruise from Neyland to southern Ireland then returning to Pembroke via the Scilly isles on September 18th - 29th. There are two places available for this.
1.4Helford – l’Aber Wrac’h race June 21 – 27. Ian’s boat is now on its mooring (with mast now stepped!) and Jeff Birkin will give an update if it is still possible to take part.
2. Recent trips
The two reports below are for sailing in May and were too late to be given at the May meeting. However, as we need time at the meeting on June 12th for Bill Barnes’ talk on sailing the ‘USA loop’, and for Ian’s report of his charter from Rhodes, there would be no time for the May reports to be given and they are being included in this newsletter now.
